Looking Forward to 2021

Pantone’s colours of the year for 2021 are grey and yellow. They’ve described the colour combination as, “A marriage of colour conveying a message of strength and hopefulness that is both enduring and uplifting”. Here at Sunshima, we are especially delighted with these colour choices because they signify the emergence of the sun coming out of the gloom, giving hope and positivity for the new year as it unfolds. They are also the colours of the Sunshima brand which shares the same spirit of hope, wellness and optimism! Apart from drawing positivity from the colours of the year, here are some other ways you can look forward to a brighter 2021.

The COVID-19 Vaccine

The recent rollouts of the vaccine are giving millions of people worldwide hope for the return of normality. If the vaccine is successfully distributed across all regions, the world can slowly but surely open up again for travel, business and other activities that have been under restrictions because of lockdowns.

Continued focus on wellness

The pandemic has made health and wellness a major priority. Many people are making the effort to focus on being healthy and adopting healthy lifestyles. This can only lead to more people feeling inspired and motivated to lead a healthy lifestyle and thus create a healthier population worldwide.

Appreciation for your home

Before the pandemic, many of us spent most of our time outside of home. School, work, leisure and other activities used to draw us out of our houses for hours at a time. After spending time at home due to lockdowns, we can now truly appreciate our home and the people around us. Families have spent more time together. More home cooked meals, movie nights and relaxation in the comfort of your own home has been a much-needed break for many.

Using Technology

Another thing to look forward to in 2021 is the continued use of apps and technology that allow us to make life easier. Keeping in touch with friends, attending classes and work meetings online, the ease of online shopping and food delivery has been made possible through improved technology, and has become commonplace through necessity.

Patience

If there’s one thing that 2020 taught us, it’s patience. Patience to weather any storm or obstacle. With this in mind, there is more patience to see how 2021 turns out, and a positive outlook to keep anxiety under control.

New Year Resolutions

We don’t know what the future holds but it’s still important to set achievable goals. Working on 2021 resolutions not only gives a sense of direction but keeps you occupied and positive.

Looking Forward

The Covid pandemic is still ongoing but there are some great things to look forward to such as the rollout of the vaccine and continuing to keep on track with health, safety protocols and keeping goals. Here’s one quick tip, remind yourself of the Pantone colours of the year for 2021 and the meaning behind them anytime you feel down!
